Flex Robotic System

Flex® Robotic System: Extends the limits of surgery.

The Flex® Robotic System gives physicians the ability to access anatomical locations that were previously difficult or impossible to reach minimally invasively. And because it is affordable and efficient, the Flex® Robotic System allows hospitals to expand the patient population that they serve and improve the productivity of their facilities.

Surgeons can steer around anatomical structures with magnified HD for views that may not be possible with other minimally invasive approaches.

Reach More

The Flex®Robotic System can navigate a nearly 180 degree path to reach challenging surgical targets.

Surgeons can then deploy 3mm articulating instruments from a stable surgical platform that extends their reach to perform procedures.

Treat More

By overcoming the limitations of straight surgical tools, more patients may be treated minimally invasively.

Fast, flexible and easy to use

  • The Flex®Robotic System has been designed to quickly integrate into the OR and the surgeon’s practice
  • Small footprint easily fits in most ORs
  • Lean and mobile for efficient scheduling
  • Quick set-up time for fast room turns
  • Short learning curve for surgeons and OR staff

Flex Retractor

The easy way to achieve advanced exposure in advanced transoral procedures

The Flex® Retractor is a low profile instrument created specifically for Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS), Transoral Laser Microsurgery (TLM) and Flex® procedures. With its light weight, wide range of blades, and exceptional adjustability, surgeons can rapidly achieve optimal exposure in the oropharynx, hypopharynx and larynx. The unique adjustability and ease of use provide head and neck surgeons the confidence that they can efficiently achieve the exposure needed for advanced transoral procedures.

Advanced Exposure Meets Superior Value

The Flex® Retractor delivers advanced surgical exposure at a cost significantly lower than other advanced retractors.

Flex® Robotic System Technology: How it Works

US – Flex® Robotic System technology utilizes a highly articulated multi-linked scope that can be steered along non-linear, circuitous paths in a way that is not possible with traditional, straight scopes. The maneuverability of the scope is derived from its numerous mechanical linkages with concentric mechanisms. This enables surgeons to perform minimally-invasive procedures in places that were previously difficult, or impossible, to reach.

With the Flex® Robotic System, Surgeons can operate through a single access site and direct the scope to the surgical target. Once positioned, the scope can become rigid, forming a stable surgical platform from which the surgeon can pass flexible surgical instruments. The system includes on-board 3D HD visualization to give surgeons a clear view of the navigation path and surgical site.
